SHIPPING POLICY

This Shipping Policy explains how LucasLamps ("we", "us", "our") processes, fulfills and delivers orders. By placing an order on lucaslamps.com, the customer agrees to the timelines and conditions set out below.

1. PROCESSING & PRODUCTION TIMELINE

All LucasLamps lamps are handcrafted to order. Due to the artisanal nature of each piece and current viral demand, the following mandatory timelines apply:

  • Processing & Creative Design: 3–5 business days.

  • Handcrafted Production & Curing Phase: Up to 15 business days.

  • International Shipping & Logistics: 8–12 business days.

  • Total Delivery Window: By completing a purchase, the customer expressly acknowledges and agrees to a total delivery window of up to 30–35 business days from the order date. A delay within this window is a standard part of our artisanal process and does not constitute grounds for a refund, chargeback, or dispute.

2. SHIPPING CARRIERS

Orders are fulfilled via tracked international courier services. Depending on the destination, your parcel may be handed off between multiple carriers during the journey:

  • International Leg: YunExpress and partner air freight networks.

  • United Kingdom: Royal Mail, Evri, Yodel, INPOST.

  • United States: USPS, FedEx, UPS.

  • European Union: Local national postal services.

  • Other Regions: DHL, regional postal carriers.

3. TRACKING INFORMATION

A tracking number is issued for every order once dispatched. We recommend customers track their parcel via 17track.net or the 17track mobile app, which captures international scan updates faster and more reliably than the default Shopify tracking link.

Important: International parcels typically experience a "silent stretch" of 7–14 days at the customs handover stage, during which the tracking page may not update. This is normal and does not indicate the parcel is lost.

4. CUSTOMS, DUTIES & IMPORTER RESPONSIBILITY

For most major destinations (USA, EU, UK), taxes and duties are included in the final checkout price. However, should any unforeseen local customs charge arise based on specific regional laws, the recipient remains the importer of record and is solely responsible for those charges. Refusal to pay customs charges resulting in a returned parcel does not entitle the customer to a refund.

5. ADDRESS CHANGES & UNDELIVERABLE PARCELS

  • Address Change Requests: May only be accommodated within the first 12 hours of purchase. After dispatch, address changes must be made directly through your local courier's tracking portal.

  • Undeliverable Parcels: If a parcel is returned to sender due to an incorrect address, refused delivery, or repeated failed delivery attempts, the customer is responsible for re-shipping costs to receive the item.

6. DELIVERED STATUS & LOST PACKAGES

If a package is marked as "Delivered" by the carrier, it is considered legally delivered. LucasLamps is not responsible for packages stolen from doorsteps, mailboxes, communal areas, or signed for by neighbors after confirmed delivery.

Disputes over non-receipt after a confirmed courier delivery scan are not eligible for a refund and may be classified as friendly fraud, with the courier delivery evidence on file submitted in defense to the customer's payment provider.

A package is only considered lost in transit if it has shown no tracking movement for more than 45 business days from dispatch. Before this point, please allow international transit and customs processing to complete.

7. SHIPPING PROTECTION (ADD-ON)

If you purchased "Shipping Protection" at checkout, your order is covered against transit loss, transit damage, and verified non-delivery. Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the expected delivery date and require evidence as outlined in our Returns Policy.

8. SHIPPING & DELIVERY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

By purchasing from LucasLamps, the customer acknowledges that:

  • Shipping times are estimates and may vary due to global logistics, customs processing, viral demand, or carrier delays.

  • A delay in shipping does not constitute a valid reason for a chargeback or refund within the 30–35 business day window.

  • We commit to providing valid tracking information for all orders.

9. FORCE MAJEURE

LucasLamps shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, strikes, customs holdups, port closures, interruptions in transportation, or global supply chain issues. In such cases, we will work diligently to fulfill your order as soon as conditions permit.
